So, continuing my question . . . in the process of trying to confirm
various file directory locations I found this:
root at dc1:~# ls -alh /var/lib/samba/bind-dns/dns/
total 3.5M
drwxrwx--- 3 root bind 4.0K Jul? 3 17:04 .
drwxrwx--- 3 root bind 4.0K Jul? 3 17:04 ..
-rw-rw---- 1 root bind 3.5M Jul? 3 17:04 *sam.ldb*
drwxrwx--- 2 root bind 4.0K Jul? 3 17:04 sam.ldb.d
Will this revised location (previously located at
/var/lib/samba/private/sam.lib) be overwritten by the revised (three)
join string options offered or should in fact all the database files be
deleted manually prior to running one of the DC join string suggestions?
In this situation, I prefer to NOT assume an answer.
Any suggestions, please.
