samba - Apr 2020 - Share inaccessible intermittently and often - restarting smb cures for short time

I just installed version 4.11.7 and the problem has gone away so either it's
a bug or a new "feature" that we have to set some config setting to
fix.

I am still having the annoying issue with deleting thumbs.db files which I
currently have on the other install as well.  I'm not sure why there is a
locking issue with these files but every time I try to delete a folder I get an
error about thumbs.db being in use and can't be deleted.

You might be able to solve it on a per-folder basis by changing the view
layout in Explorer. E.g. 'Large icons' to 'Details' or
'List', or vice
versa.

If it weren't a Samba problem then why does it not happen in a previous 
version but does in the latest?  This is not normal and is not Windows 
doing it.
