Didn't know about that "standalone" argument. Perhaps that's
what needs
to be done?

The isolated DR server was provisioned as a brand new domain controller
and used the same domain name as the Production Server, like so:

samba-tool domain provision --server-role=dc --use-rfc2307
--dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL --realm=PRODUCTION.LOCAL --domain=PRODUCTION
--adminpass=Passw0rd
