I was wrong, I *don't think it's a kernel upgrade* as uname -a gives "Linux dtdc06 4.15.0-44-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jan 14 11:26:59 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux" If I'm right, the "Jan 14" date means kernel been running since "Jan 14" but, cannot find definition for the "-a" switch in "uname" so, I am not sure that is correct. Reading the initial post again, this pops out: ldb: unable to dlopen /usr/local/samba/lib/ldb/password_hash.so : libgpgme.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory It looks to me that it cannot find libgpgme.so.11, does this file exist ? was it part of the update ?
