samba - Oct 2018 - Migration from 4.0.24 to 4.8.x

Hi,

I have a domain with two very old samba4 hosts (version 4.0.24).
I would like to "update" this to a recent version.
Can I join two fresh 4.8.x hosts to my old domain and remove the old ones ?
