[Samba] Uploading Only 64-bit Drivers to a Samba Print Server
Hi, the Samba wiki says on https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Automatic_Printer_Driver_Downloads_for_Windows_Clients#Uploading_Only_64-bit_Drivers_to_a_Samba_Print_Server Using the default setting, Samba reports itself as Windows NT x86 architecture. This seems not the case since Samba 4.7.x: s3-spoolss: make us appear as a 64bit print server. This makes us behave like all recent windows systems. Found in: https://git.samba.org/?p=samba.git;a=commit;h=92fc6a6c254703b771dec0b56b598c2684b4278a I could not find this information in the change logs, the wiki is misleading and testparm is also not showing this information: pvscsi # testparm -sv | grep spool Load smb config files from /etc/smb.conf rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit (16384) Processing section "[netlogon]" Processing section "[homes]" Processing section "[all]" Processing section "[public]" Processing section "[pdf]" Processing section "[print$]" Loaded services file OK. idmap range not specified for domain '*' ERROR: Invalid idmap range for domain *!
