samba - Jul 2017 - rsat, computer management, security tab needs read permission to view properties

hi everyone

i have created a share with the following steps on a member server (tardis),

create the directory
chown to root:'domain admins'
chmod 0770
added share to smb.conf
smbcontrol all reload-config

i then fire up rsat/computer management (windows 8)
i navigate to the server
and access the properties of the share
i remove everyone and add domain admins with full control
and domain users set to change
i switch to the security tab but i'm presented with the following message
you must have read permission to view the properties of this object.

on the member server
the administrator account is mapped to root
domain admins has setdiskoperatorprivilege

is there a step that i've missed ?
