And Gentoo ("bleeding edge" distro back then) brings that as unstable?? sounds like re-install (as in "change distro") ;-) I have to check that. Gentoo shows me (as they call it) masked releases of 4.3.x - 4.5.x I assume you recommend to test the latest available build.
