samba - Sep 2016 - samba-tool user create - how to get next available uid from active directory

Hi all

is there a way to retrieve the next available uid from the active
directory to apply it  as a rfc2307 attribute to a new user ?

Sorry, with samba-tool there is no way to do this. The only way you
can do it is with ADUC or by writing your own scripts.

Attached is a Perl script I use for this. Edit the domain and account 
info to suit your environment. We use a dedicate LDAP account for this 
kind of stuff.
