samba - Apr 2010 - Windows not accepting Group ACLs from Suse 11.2 on a PPC-64 computer

Primary direction is give group "Legal" r-x
Secondary direction is give group "Legalrwx" rwx
Thus everyone can be a member with r-x and a select few having rwx.

Why would the Group "legal" be recognized in the selection of Groups
in
Windows list yet after selecting Check Names?
Then select OK and after a long pause change group "Legal" to 
"SuperUser(root)?
