David, thank you! Silly enough i wrote the page, only recognising the registry hacks not the required Samba version. Are there any pitfalls while upgrading from 3.0.x to 3.3 or above? What are the major-differences between the > three? >3.3.12 or 3.4.7 are the best versions for production systems in my opinion. 3.5 adds experimental smb2 support but I like to wait a few months before running a new series in production. 3.4.X series added a rewrite of the printing code but this broke 64 bit printing until the 3.4.6 version. Major changes in can be found in the release notes of the first major release of the branch, e.g. http://samba.org/samba/history/samba-3.5.0.html.
