[Samba] Samba and oplock_break errors (addition)
Sorry I have send not finished email accasionally... So I repeat the email once again :))) I have recently migrated from Novell Netware file server to Samba 2.2.0-15 with 15 users. For couple days I wondered how could new my Samba server work so well ! However on next week users started complaining that their computers hang for minutes and displays errors (not found *.dll or fatal app error) when trying to start applications. Only Samba server restarting solved problems. It is related with oplocks break, so I made shared directories for read only ( as it serves for application), but it not solved the problem. Is any other solution ? Should I migrate to higher Samba version in order to keep oplocks funkctionality in Samba ? One other interesting thing that in another branch also I installed Samba server with identical configuration, but there is no oplocks erros because in the branch works only 6 users. Thanks in advance for responce.
