If you have pam.d setup in your system (I think red hat does it by default)
try checking for /etc/pam.d/samba
It should have something like this in it:
auth required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
account required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth

Can somebody help me with SWAT configuration for Samba. I have one Samba
2.0.6 server, which is nicely working under Linux Mandrake 6 and I can
configure it via SWAT.
I have installed a new server with Samba from RadHat 7.0, it works properly
but I can acess it via SWAT. I modified the services and
xinetd.conf files, but it still doesn't work !
