For some reason I cannot get swat to authenticate me!! Do I need to do something with smbpassd? Does something need to be in my smb.conf file? Help!!! Thanks
Hi David. SWAT runs independantly of smbpasswd. It works on the root password in passwd a.k.a the main password file for linux. You will find that you will need to use your root uid/pwd in order to access swat. Hope this helps!
