samba - Jan 2002 - How to set Samba log file names.

Samba (v9.2.0, on Linux) wants to write log entries to files
"log.nmbd"
and "log.nmbd", whereas I'd prefer "nmbd.log" and
"smbd.log",
respectively.

Note that these files names are *not* controlled by the "log file"
config
option.  This option handles client-specific logging.

So... how do I get the daemon name and log designation turned around to 
the "right" order?
