Upgrading samba 2.0.7 to 2.2.2. Need to register stations again!?!?!!?
Dear Sir I?m upgrading my samba server (version 2.0.7) to 2.2.2. For this, I was compiled the new samba in another directory and move my old private dir and profile dir contents to the new private and profile dirs. I edit the minimum possible the smb.conf too. Then, I was started the new samba server. When I tried to make a login in my network with a workstation (NT), the server didn?t permit. I needed to enter using the local admin account and re-join my machine in domain. After that, everything ok. But I have more or less 500 stations!!! Is it right? The system doesn?t recognize old machine accounts? Thanks in advance ============================= Administra?ao da Rede FACIN / PUCRS Ramal 4184 Pr?dio 30 - Sala 145
