I have a linux fileserver that servers to unix and windows clients (the same directory). Currently when windows users map a share from the linux box their account uses the associated unix account. So I have no problems with owner ship. If they create a file under windows they are still the owner of the file under unix. My problem is I want to use winbind to allow trusted domains to access these files. That works fine, but now my windows users get authenticated and used mydom+username instead of just username. Is there a way I can force authenticating to unix accounts for the local domain and have trusted domains use winbind? -- Christopher L Porter Business Systems Analyst III Invensys Process Systems (858) 720-7298 cporter@esscor.com
