Hi, I'm trying to set up a Samba server on an AIX box in a WIN2K domain. I have joined the domain just fine except I cannot authenticate through one of the domain controllers. I have tried to authenticate through the PDC emulator but that didn't work either. Here is the error that I am getting. doing parameter log file = /var/samba/log/log.%m doing parameter max log size = 50 doing parameter nt smb support = No doing parameter announce as = NT Workstation doing parameter load printers = No doing parameter local master = No doing parameter dns proxy = No doing parameter wins proxy = Yes doing parameter wins server = (IP Address of Wins) pm_process() returned Yes added interface ip=(IP Address ) bcast=(subnet) nmask=(broadcast zone) not adding duplicate interface not adding duplicate interface resolve_lmhosts: Attempting lmhosts lookup for name TOWADC03<0x20> resolve_hosts: Attempting host lookup for name TOWADC03<0x20> Connecting to (IP address) at port 139 cli_net_auth2: Error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED cli_nt_setup_creds: auth2 challenge failed modify_trust_password: unable to setup the PDC credentials to machine TOWADC03. Error was : NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. 2002/01/17 15:03:04 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change password for domain NAPTG. Has anyone seen this? If you could point me in the right direction please let me know.
