whats mean kernel message "Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0" ?
People, necessary of the aid of you. I have here in a customer, one compaq prosignia 200 with one an Array SCSI(SL2-Controller using Raid 0) that always after the of backup job that I programmed entire home system for the 20:00, starts to give the follow error messages bellow (at bottom). The question is: It will be that the Array beating the boots(potrtuguese expression), ops in english : Will be that this disk this in the end of its life? Or there are some conflict between controller Array versus dat unit? Remembering that the Array will count 5 disks of 2GB (therefore Raid 0 without reduncy), and ja has one 6 years of age. However the controller is newer. I need to know if already he is in the hour to change my disks, or my micron badly is configured. Messages logs to init a controller, thats ok : Jan 3 12:40:04 jupiter kernel: cpqarray ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=20979360 Jan 3 12:40:04 jupiter kernel: ida/c0d0: p1 Jan 3 15:38:36 jupiter kernel: cpqarray ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=20979360 Jan 3 15:38:36 jupiter kernel: ida/c0d0: p1 Jan 3 15:48:34 jupiter kernel: cpqarray ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=20979360 Jan 3 15:48:34 jupiter kernel: ida/c0d0: p1 Jan 3 15:51:51 jupiter kernel: cpqarray ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=20979360 Jan 3 15:51:51 jupiter kernel: ida/c0d0: p1 Message that appear 13 minutes after start backup job : Jan 3 20:13:02 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:16 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:19 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:30 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:43 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:46 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:13:58 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:14:47 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:14:50 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:14:56 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:15:07 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:15:20 jupiter kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:15:23 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0 Jan 3 20:15:26 jupiter kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0
