Hi, We have been using samba at work for a while now, version 2.0.7 on bash-2.03$ uname -a SunOS ren 5.8 Generic_108528-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine It works fine, with a mixed win2000/winNT 4.0 environment, but it seems that there is some form of caching going on as when we edit files from windows, (especially with small changes) they don't seem to show up for a while in the files. Someone in the company suggested tuning strict sync on , but although i havn't tried it (we have a lot of developers working right now) it doesn't seem to be the right thing as the problem is solaris not thinking the files are updated, as oppsed to solaris caching the files. are there any config options to turn off the cache (i couldn't find them) or is this a bug?
