samba - Jan 2002 - configuring SAMBA to accept Spanish keyboard

Hi

QUbe3-SUn Cobalt-Samba 2.0.9

Our intention is to allow users to manipulate from Windows Systems filenames
with accents like ? ? ? ? ? ? and same in capitals

I added the following entryt to /etc/smb.conf

valid chars = ?:? ?:? ? ? ? ?
But only get ?, ? ,?, ? to work. 
Please could you help me on that,
