Hi. I'm not sure if this is directly related to samba, but if it isn't just ignore me :) I have some private shares on my samba server that only I have permission to access. Let's say that the share name was topsecret$, it has browseable = no, and cannot be viewed anyway because of the $ sign. Windows 2000 puts a link to this share in "My Network Places" when I access the share. Is it possible to prevent Windows 2000 from caching a link to this share, or any share for that matter? Windows 2000 also have the ability to disable file caching on files in a share, so it can't be made available offline for users. Is this possible to configure in samba?
