samba - Dec 2001 - ERRinvnetname error message

I've been through as many troubleshoot guides a I've could find, but
none
have this message.

smbclient returns, (even after what appears to be a succesfull login):
tree connection failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname (Invalid network name in tree
connect.)

Any suggestions appreciated?
