Unable to connect to share by netbios name only by IP address
I have installed samba on a Solaris box. While it appears to be working , users are only able to connect to the shares via the ip address. ( ie. \\151.109.168.xxx\tmp ) any connect attempts to the defined netbios name fail. Pinging the defined hostname is succesfull however. There are 2 nic cards in this box and I was wondering if samba is having trouble identifying itself to the network with one card and then listening with the other. While the machine routes via ip just fine. Any ideas folks Rob Cartier -------------- next part -------------- HTML attachment scrubbed and removed
