samba - May 2001 - Samba 2.2.0 PDC and Win2k Pro

Hi,
I'm trying to log my Win2k machin into a PDC that is in RedHat 6.2 running
samba 2.2.0 as PDC.

I have read the latest Samba HOWTO from samba.org and searched
for and answer in the list archive.
I get the message saying:
Cannot join domain, the credentials supplied conflict with an existing 
set...

I tryied configuring the /etc/pam.d/samba file with pam_permit.so in the 
acount line.
But still get the problem.

I got the machine user in /etc/passwd and smbpasswd as stated in the howto.
Should I configure a password for the acount? I tryied a blank passwd but
that does not work.

The reason for this is quite often, that you allready have a network 
connection (a share, ...) running when try to join the domain. Stop 
all network connections and try again.
