I've found some win95/98 machines will fail to update the local file date/time stamp and contents of files which had been modified on the server using a server text editing tool. The engineer will edit one or more files under Unix (solaris), use the win95/98 client in drag/drop or explicit copy/paste copy mode from a samba share to the local hard disk and the system will not update the existing client files to the newer date/contents as modified on the server. We're running samba 1.9.18p10 on a sparc20. any clues here (I'm the pc guy, not the unix guy). -steve
