samba - May 2001 - Profiles ???

I've a bug with samba roaming profiles : They don't be saved in the
specified directoy ???
My SMB.CONF :

[global]
netbios name = server
...
logon path = \\server\profiles\%U
...

[profiles]
comment = Windows User Profiles
path = /export/profiles
create mode = 0600
directory mode = 0770
browseable = yes
writeable = yes


Although my configuration seems to be correct, profiles always be saved in my
HOME directory : /home/%U .
Why doesn't profiles move to /export/profiles/%users% (that directory exists
and have : root drwxrwxrwx !)

Is it really a SAMBA bug or a Win9X bug ???

I think you also have to set the logon home directory in [global].
But wy don't you store profiles in the users home directory? (maby you do 
have a good reason, don't know...)

I use this in [global]
logon home = \\%L\%U\.profile
This wil store all profiles on the hidden share .profile in the users home 
direcotry.

I think there was a security issue using a other dir then the users homedir 
but that was solved isn't it?
