I've seen this question asked, but not answered in the archives, so I need to try again. I've installed samba 2.2.0 on two different systems, both running the same version of Solaris. (SunOS 5.6). One machine was an upgrade from an earlier samba version, and I've had no problems. On the new install, I've been unable to get swat to work. I've added the following line to /etc/services: swat 901/tcp # Samba Manager and to inetd.conf: swat stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/samba/bin/swat swat restarting inetd produces the following error in messages: inetd[131]: swat/tcp: socket: Protocol not supported and of course attempting to connect to port 901 on this server gives a connection refused error. Thanks for any help... Chris Caswell NCREN
