Hello, I am using samba 2.0.7 I have a problem with swat When I put my root password or other user I obtain this >>> 401 Authorization Required >>> You must be authenticated to use this service I have already checked and my password is correct. I work on UNIX /solaris 2.6. Do you have any solution or an idea? Thank?s
I recently installed SWAP on my Linux box, and now I am having trouble accessing SWAP. It will not let me authenticate. I have followed all the steps, but to no avail. I do not know anything about security, but, if you add : -a to the swat command in inetd.conf, it will not ask for a password. Here is mine: swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/local/samba/bin/swat swat -a This allows anyone to change your smb.conf file.
