Hi Samba gurus, I am using Samba for the first time and have had trouble getting a share to work, it appears to not like the length of the share name. Is this possible? If I change the name to 8 characters or less it work fine but as soon as I extend it I get an error trying to connect to the share. I can see the share but I cannot open it. I am trying to connect to a Solaris server with an NT pc. I get this error when I try to open the share: "No network provider accepted the given network path" I have exactly the same share info for a share of 8 characters long and it work beautifully. Is there a known limit in Samba or a configuration parameter or is it my network?? Help!
