hi our situation: we use samba 2.0.7 on redhat 6.2 , kernel 2.2.14-smp (currently only one cpu used) several clients using win98, win98se, win2k we have 2 big applications, one runs in a dos-box and uses dbase-files, the other one uses msaccess. runs fine until a second user opens the same file as another before -> corrupt files and dataloss. i think it could be a problem with caching, but im not to sure. maybe one could point me into the right direction. yours josef radinger output of testparm as follows: # Global parameters [global] coding system = client code page = 850 workgroup = XX
