samba - Mar 2001 - Confusion

Hi there,

Sorry to bother you all but can you assist to resolve a point of
confusion I have.

I have been unable to find the answer in any documentation.

On all implementations of samba I have seen whenever you browse a
"Microsoft"
network to find a shared printer samba assumes the microsoft network is
an NT Server controlled network & tries to log in to an NT Server.

On a simple Windows Workgroup there is no NT Server & hence login fails

Where in the documentation is how to setup to browse the simple MS
Workgroup
& look for network connected printers & systems.
