I have tested this on multiple computers, so it's not just a problem with one setup... W2K shares cannot be mounted from rcX.d, /etc/fstab, or rc.local. The other shares (Win9X, Linux) mount fine--but when executing mount -t smb //<computer>/<share> <mountpoint> -o guest against a W2K share, it backgrounds and fails. David McIlroy
