Alfred,
There have been a LOT of changes made to Samba since 2.02; the latest
release version is 2.0.7, and it fixes a number of Win2k issues. If you are
on 11.0 HP-UX, HP's March Applications release will come with CIFS/9000
SERVER (Samba) which is based on 2.0.7 Samba, and I would recommend that you
use that. Otherwise, if you're on 10.20, pull down the latest 2.0.7 code
from one of the samba download sites, and install that.
Hope this helps,
Don

Hi all,
just recently I started testing w2k to find out about the problems
involved when our company makes the switch from NT4.
So far we have 2 HP-UX machines running Samba 2.0.2 which works fine
with all NT 4.0 machines.
I have set up an old PC with linux and Samba 2.0.7. This works fine
with NT 4.0 and w2k.
However, w2k does not seem to be able to access the HP-UX servers.
Is there a known incompatbility between w2k and Samba 2.0.2 ?
TIA, Alfred
