Attempted a straight configure and build of the 2.2.0-alpha2 code on a
Sun sparc Solaris 8 platform. In countered a link failure with
following error:
    Linking bin/smbd
    Undefined                       first referenced
     symbol                             in file
    inet_aton                           smbd/password.o
    ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to bin/smbd
    collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    *** Error code 1
    make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `bin/smbd'
Checked configure flags and code tree for either a flag change needed or
the function code.
Output of uname -a command:
    SunOS spruce 5.8 Generic_108528-04 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
