samba - Oct 2000 - HP/UX bigcrypt()

I am trying to get Samba working using encrypted passwords on a HP/UX 10.20
system which uses the /tcb/files/auth to store user information.  Along with
this strange location to store user information (including passwords), it
allows passwords over 8 characters using bigcrypt().  Is there any way to
have Samba support this?  I don't want to settle with truncating 10+
character
passwords down to 8 characters for Samba access.

Question is unclear.  By "using encrypted passwords" do you mean the
smb.conf option to enable password encryption, or do you mean just
making use of the HP-UX password file?
