Hi ! I have very strange problem with SAMBA 2.0.7 ( platform Linux 2.2.14 ) . The smb.conf file : [global] workgroup = envelopes netbios name = saturn server string = File Server log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 5000 max open files = 1010 # this was added because of SAMBA complains about concurrent open files . log level = 1 security = domain password server = * encrypt passwords = yes smb passwd file = /etc/smbpasswd username map = /etc/smbusers I have joined domain and everything worked fine until I encountered strange problem : There are some random users that sometimes can't be authenticated by PDC and BDC and access shares on SAMBA server as user 'nobody'. It's almost random event , one time user connects as user on machine and second time he connects as 'nobody' . I've tried to use ' password server = PDC BDC ' - nothing changed . Any suggestions ? Tom .
