Hi I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me with a little problem... I am trying to configure my Solaris 2.6 server so it can be browsed over a windows network, with out prompting me for a password, where anyone can browse the shares. I've achieved this on my rs6000 but the sun box is posing more of a problem. I have included the output from the smbclient -L command below: This is a working output: # ./smbclient //f50/john added interface ip=195.217.131.156 bcast=195.217.131.255 nmask=255.255.255.128 Password: Domain=[ASLD] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.0.7] smb: \> This is failed output: (Using pasword) # ./smbclient //rental-ultra10/john added interface ip=195.217.131.156 bcast=195.217.131.255 nmask=255.255.255.128 Password: session setup failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) This is failed output (No Password..) # ./smbclient //rental-ultra10/tmp added interface ip=195.217.131.156 bcast=195.217.131.255 nmask=255.255.255.128 Password: Anonymous login successful Domain=[rental-ultr_dom] OS=[UNIX 5.7 Generic_106541-08] Server=[SunLink Server] tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) Here are my globals: [global] workgroup = ASLD netbios name = RENTAL-ULTRA10 server string = Rental Sun Box security = SHARE min password length = 4 map to guest = Bad Password dns proxy = No hosts allow = 195.217.131. hosts deny = ALL If any one can help it would be most appriciated.....
