Hello. I'd like to know if Samba can be installed on Solaris. If so, what are the steps to follow? If my question is not well defined please let me know. Thank you in advance for your precious time, Juan Diego Guti?rrez Gallardo jgutierrez@teleserver.es
Yes. My experience with solaris is that it's better to install gcc first bevore you compile any other things. the gcc installation is one with a bootstrap compilation, works fine. -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Juan Diego Guti?rrez Gallardo [mailto:jgutierrez@teleserver.es] Verzonden: vrijdag 1 september 2000 13:41 Aan: samba@lists.samba.org Onderwerp: Samba on Sun Hello. Yes. Go to www.sunfreeware.com and download the correct version for your system. They are all packages so just do a package add then your pretty much set to configure. We're running Intel Solaris 2.8 systems and the install was a no brainer. For me this file is very complete and easy to follow.>If my question is not well defined please let me know. > >Thank you in advance for your precious time, > >Juan Diego Guti?rrez Gallardo >jgutierrez@teleserver.es
