samba - Jun 2000 - SAMBA digest 2554

I am running Samba 2.0.7 on AIX 4.3.2. My problem is that when a file is
updated, the user and group ownership of the file is changed to whomever was
the last to update the file. This can create serious problems when the last
person to update the file belongs to a group that the next person to attempt
to access the file does not have permission to access.

We are running SPSS on Samba 2.0.7 and AIX 4.3.2. Every time we run an SPSS
report we run out of swap space. Is there anyway to have Windows SPSS
increase AIX swapspace

This is caused by the software your users are using: it deletes the 
old file and creates a new one, now with the new ownerships.

On any share mutiple users are having access to you should use

	force user
and/or
	force group
