can i find who has delete files
Hi, I use a SUN Enterprise 450 with Solaris 2.7 and SAMBA 2.0.4b. There are ca. 50 PC (W95, W98) connected. All the stations have to use the same network login with the same user name. The users have two common mounted drives with the common informations, databases and workspaces. Somboddy has deleted some files and directorys on these drives. Is it possible to find out the time and the workstation from where the files have been deleted and to trace it ? Thanks for your help Best Regards R. Schommers
While I am not familiar with the Sun File System, there is generally no way on a unix system to track, or recover, deleted files. So I suspect that you are out of luck. "R.
