Hi all, one problem with SAMBA 2.0.5 on a Caldera eServer2.3 : My 15 users with Win95 SR2 in a NT-DOMAIN are connected to SAMBA and share files and print via SAMBA. All users are in /etc/passwd and in and /etc/samba.d/smbpassw on ther LINUX-Server. There are no problems with this and are all happy. BUT : Sometimes (!!!) SAMBA wants to get a password when users want to print. My users typed the SAMBA-password or just hit ENTER and all is OK. My problem : Why sometimes and what can i do against this 'phantom' ? on part of my smb.conf : [global] workgroup = MAKONET server string = Samba Server on Caldera OpenLinux security = SERVER update encrypted = Yes password server = NTMAKO, NTMAKO2, NTMAKO3 and one part of an log-file : [2000/05/24 09:50:07, 1] smbd/password.c:server_validate(1131) password server NTMAKO rejected the password [2000/05/24 09:50:07, 1] smbd/password.c:pass_check_smb(510) Account for user 'PC23' was disabled.
