Hi, My system is: - RedHat 6.1 - Samba 2.0.6 Recently I have noted that when I copy one file to Samba Share Server from NT FAT partition, the time and date of file have changed. Like it. ORIGINAL TIME FAT ---------------- AFTER COPYING TO SAMBA SHARE 12/16/1999 6:18 PM ---------------- 02/17/2000 10:35 PM But with a NTFS partition not happened. I have tried with Samba-2.0.5a and Samba-TNG, and happened to inversion. With NTFS partition have changed the file timestamp, and FAT not. Can someone help me with. Is it a bug or incorrect setup of Samba. My Samba conf file is like it: -------------- smb.conf -------------- # Samba config file created using SWAT # from localhost (127.0.0.1) # Date: 2000/02/14 23:21:30 # Global parameters [global] workgroup = DDEDOM netbios name = DDESERVER server string = Smar DDE Samba Server %v encrypt passwords = Yes passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u passwd chat = *new*password* %n\n *new*password* %n\n *successfully* unix password sync = Yes name resolve order = wins bcast logon script = %U.bat logon path = \\%L\home\samba\profiles\%U logon home = \\%L\home\samba\profiles\%U domain logons = Yes os level = 34 preferred master = Yes domain master = Yes wins support = Yes # wins server = 192.168.1.20 guest account = ftp admin users = root time server = Yes delete readonly = Yes dos filetimes = Yes dos filetime resolution = Yes fake directory create times = Yes log level = 1 max log size = 5000 # # set max time to live to 6 hours. default 3 days. # set max wins time to live to 12 hours. default 6 days # set min wins time to live to 30 mins. default 6 hours. # max ttl = 21600 max wins ttl = 43200 min wins ttl = 1800 [netlogon] comment = The domain logon service path = /home/samba/netlogon create mask = 0444 browseable = No [profile] comment = User profiles path = /home/samba/profiles read only = No create mask = 0600 directory mask = 0700 browseable = No [printers] comment = Shared printers path = /var/spool/lpd/lj5m read only = No create mask = 0700 guest ok = Yes print ok = Yes lpq command = /usr/bin/lpq -r -P%p %s lprm command = /usr/bin/lprm -P%p %j %s lppause command = /usr/sbin/lpc stop %p lpresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc start %p printer name = lj5m browseable = No [home] comment = User home directories path = /home/%U read only = No [sys] comment = System and Application Directories path = /sys read only = No guest ok = Yes [projects] comment = Projects Directories path = /projects read only = No create mask = 0774 directory mask = 0775 delete readonly = Yes dos filetimes = Yes dos filetime resolution = Yes fake directory create times = Yes -------------------------------------- Thanks and apologize for one thing.
