I have installed Samba 2.0.6 on a Compaq Alpha server running Compaq Unix running OSF1 v4.0 878. My smb.conf file specifies that WORKGROUP=SYDNEY, which is the name of our NT Domain name. In Network Neighbourhood, however, the Alpha host appears under the name WORKGROUP by itself instead of with the rest of the computers in the Sydney domain. We have another Unix box, a Sun, with samba installed and uses virtually the same entries in the configuration file. When I view the entries in the Windows NT Server Manager for the SYDNET domain, I see the Sun box listed as an NT Server 4.2 and the Alpha box as NT Workstation or Server. I cannot understand how this difference arises. Any clues. Regards, Dennis
