On our Printserver (still in test!) we have samba 2.0.6. Our smb.conf defines the printer-access from our NT-Clients. We are using an own print-script to print: (from smb.conf) ... print command = /usr/local/bin/sambalpr %p %s %M %a %m %I %U ... The %U-Macro gives us the logged user from the NT-Host, which want to print It works succesfully , but after a print-attempt to a queue, which dosn't exist aon our printserver, smb gives an error ... is ok. ...Service ... [1999/11/25 11:08:09, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(209) ley (141.44.13.223) couldn't find service no1 (no1 -name of the queue at print-attempt) After the error-situation every print-job gives me a bad %U-value. It dosn't resolve the logges user from the NT-Client, it ever gives me the hostname. After a new login-process I get the right logged user with the %U macro. ...still to the next error... But where is the error: at samba server or within NT ??? We want to use the %U-resolution to have user-data to each print-job.
