samba - Sep 1999 - Samba file size limitation

I am running Samba 1.9.16 on an HPUX system with my filesystems set to
largefiles.  My issue is, I believe Samba has a 2gb file size limitation.
This over 2gb file does not appear to the NT client, it actually disapears
when the file hits 2gb.  Has anyone run into this before and if so what did
you do to resolve this.
    Any input would be greatly appreciated, and I will summerize.

In order to get large file support on HPUX you need to
upgrade to Samba 2.0.5a which deals correctly with
64 bit files.
