This is rather an unusual setup, I am setting up some Windows workstations with a Linux Samba Server. The major setup is fine, the major problem I am having right now is tracking user logon time. I am looking for a way to tracker user's login time every time they log into the domain (which means using the computer). I know that samba has logs that shows login time and account, but I don't really see an entry when the user logoff. I am wondering if it would be at all possible to write a perl script which reads the logs at real time (every time there are data) and then from the log determine the which user has logged in for how long. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Jason Lam -------------- next part -------------- HTML attachment scrubbed and removed
