What are the implications of sharing /usr/local/samba/private/MACHINE.SID between a group of samba servers, one of which is a samba PDC, and the others are domain members? I'm asking because I have been doing this for a couple of weeks now without realizing that it may be a problem and with *apparently* no bad effects, although I'm suddenly wondering whether this is a security hole. Does every samba server, PDC or otherwise, have a MACHINE.SID file, or is this file only created and used by a samba PDC? -- Todd Pfaff \ Email: pfaff@mcmaster.ca Computing and Information Services \ Voice: (905) 525-9140 x22920 ABB 132 \ FAX: (905) 528-3773 McMaster University \ Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8S 4M1 \
