I have been having some problems with some cross-platform s/w
and Samba. It would seem that bad data is sent if a packet size
which is too large is asked for. I do not exactly understand
this business, but here is a quote from my correspondence with the
s/w author:
> Those results say that I've inadvertantly cured the problem. Aswell as
> changing the diagnostics, I cut down the max read size by a little, and
that
> seems to have shut it up. There's something wrong with SAMBA there
though,
> because the specs say that if a client asks for more data than will fit
into
> a packet then the server will disconnect.
Is his diagnosis correct? Has this been fixed in later versions?
