I've installed Cygnus cygwin-b20 to a samba share and I'm having a problem running it that doesn't happen when I run it from a local disk. I think this problem began when I upgraded samba to 2.0.0beta because I'm running other installations of cygwin from samba-1.9.18p10 shares. The installation works fine and I can run the supplied cygnus.bat to get an initial shell, but when I try to run any other executable within that shell (eg. ls) I get: bash-2.02$ ls bash: fork: Permission denied and I see the following in log.smb: [1998/12/02 12:27:37, 0] smbd/open.c:check_access_allowed_for_current_user(203) check_access_allowed_for_current_user: The process is no longer waiting! Does anyone know what the problem is? -- Todd Pfaff \ Email: pfaff@mcmaster.ca Computing and Information Services \ Voice: (905) 525-9140 x22920 ABB 132 \ FAX: (905) 528-3773 McMaster University \ Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8S 4M1 \
